Ingredients to cook the Finest North Indian Fish Curry

Recipe for the North India Fish Curry
Step 1: The first step is to clean and wash the fish properly and then keep it aside after draining the excess water.
Step 2: The next step is to marinate the fish, take a big bowl and add some turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garlic paste, and salt to taste and add pieces of fish and then mix all the ingredients well and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
Step 3: Take a wok for frying the fish, take mustard oil and heat properly in the wok and let it heat it properly so that it does not smell. Now deep fry the fish until golden brown and keep it aside.
Step 4: After frying the fish, the next step is to make the Curry. For Curry, take a dry pan, roast a few mustard seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, garlic cloves, and red chillies altogether on low heat and let them cool once roasted.

- Put some tomatoes and add all the dry roasted ingredients.
- Add some turmeric powder to it.

Step 8: Now add some water to the paste and cook the gravy on low heat. Also, add salt to gravy according to your taste.
Step 9: Continue adding water to the gravy continuously until you receive the wanted texture until the gravy is cooked nicely. Keep a watch on the gravy, and as soon as the oil separates and comes on the top, the gravy has been cooked and ready.
Step 10: The last step is to add the fried fish pieces to the gravy and cook for another 10 minutes on a lower flame and let the fish pieces soak into the gravy and absorb all the flavour.
